Richard and Lanie Reeder moved from Cincinnati, Ohio to Abbeville in 2003 to escape the hustle and bustle of a big city and operate a bed and breakfast. In Cincinnati, Ohio they owned and operated a real estate appraising company.
There was a lot of renovation to be done to the home. In March, 2004 the home was opened as Hearthside Manor Bed and Breakfast.
