This beautiful Victorian home is believed to have been built in the late 1800's, and is located within the city limits of Historic Abbeville. This small town made its way to the Big Screen in Hollywood when "Sleeping with the Enemy", starring Julia Roberts, was filmed in 1991. Although noted in the film as a small town in Iowa, the location was Abbeville, as the square scene on the film confirms.
The ambiance of this home is seen on the exterior as well as the interior. Gracefully capturing the beauty of this home are two large pine trees. These trees are believed to be the oldest Deodar Cedars on this side of the Mississippi over 150 years old. You are welcomed with a large veranda for relaxing in a private atmosphere. Walk into the double atrium and see the beautiful Victorian fretwork dividing the foyers.
